Owen Sowerwine, just east of the city limits of Kalispell, is in the heart of one of the most complex sections of the Flathead River. This braided tapestry of cottonwood forest, islands, sloughs, wetlands and gravel bars houses a plethora of birds, fish and wildlife.
What better way to learn about this ecological gem and how to support the Owen Sowerwine project than with a guided hike? In concert with our Challenge Match Campaign, Flathead Land Trust, Flathead Audubon and the Flathead Lakers are collaborating to offer a variety of tours this spring and summer.
