Join us at Harrell Forest on National Trails Day and give back to the trails that give us so much everyday! We will be organizing at least one work crew to work on sprucing up the lower portion of the Swan Hill Trail and maintaining drainage features. We may also do some pruning and thinning of small fir trees along a section of the Swan Hill Trail. No prior trail maintenance experience necessary but volunteers must be ready to hike to and from work sites (1-2 miles), use hand tools, and not mind getting their “hands dirty”. A list of expectations and what to bring will be provided to volunteers once they RSVP.
After the half day trail work session, beginning at 9:00 a.m., Flathead Land Trust will host a small celebration in the parking lot with complimentary drinks and snacks.
